BIOGRAPHY
Mrs. Baxter has been a Speech Pathologist since 1988. She has educational and practical experience in a variety of areas of Speech Pathology. She has worked in both habilitation (schools) and rehabilitation. settings. She's had extensive experience in neurogenic disorders. She's learned and performed endoscopy. (This is a tool that helps diagnose and manage voice disorders. She's recieved the ACE award from the American Speech and Hearing Association for continued education. She's attended both national and international conferences to obtain information in her field. She's received continuing education credits from Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University, Michigan State University and Johns Hopkins' University among others. Her most recent training included conferences on Visual Strategies for Improving Communication and Behavior, PECS training, Oral Motor Assessment and treatment. Her recent contribution to research includes doing field study for Harcourt Brace Publishing To provide information to help standardize a test that will be used to help diagnose speech disorders.
