BIOGRAPHY:
Mr. DeRidder is entering into his third year of teaching. Two years ago he taught 1st Grade in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently Mr. DeRidder is teaching a sixth grade classroom.
Mr. DeRidder has additional training in a number of areas. In Language Arts he has participated in M.L.P.P. (Michigan Literacy Progress Profile), Reader's and Writer's Workshop training enabling him to provide extensive knowledge of building fluent readers and writers in the classroom. Mr. DeRidder attended a Science Problem Based Learning session to develop a deeper understanding of teaching science in concrete terms. Mr. DeRidder is currently coaching 7th grade girls and boys basketball.
