Middle School Band Members Selected for All-Star Band

 

Webberville Community Schools had 4 students selected from the middle school band to participate in the Western Michigan University all-star band.  The students are Caleb Simpson, eighth grade,  Vivian Gaffney, seventh grade, Grace Gardziella, seventh grade, and Tyler Adair, eighth grade.  Band Director, Gary Franks, nominated 10 students from the band and these four were chosen to participate by a panel at WMU.  The students will participate in a day of rehearsals and other musical activities with other band students from around the state on October 27 th.  The day will conclude with a concert conducted by composer Douglas Akey.  The concert will take place at WMU at 7:00 PM.  Other students that were nominated were Nolan Grossbauer, Emily Judd, Haylie Moran, Lillian Sessions, Katie Wiley, and Kara Kulaga. Congratulations to all the students.
