United States Naval Academy Annapolis, Maryland
As the undergraduate college of the Naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Naval Academy students are midshipmen on active duty in the U.S. Navy. They attend the academy for four years, graduating with bachelor of science degrees and reserve commissions as ensigns in the Navy or second lieutenants in the Marine Corps. Naval Academy graduates serve at least five years as Navy or Marine Corps officers.
Around the Yard…
The scenic Naval Academy campus, known as the Yard, is located in historic Annapolis, Md., where the Severn River flows into the Chesapeake Bay. With its combination of early 20th-century and modern buildings, the Naval Academy is a blend of tradition and state-of-the-art technology that exemplifies today’s Navy and Marine Corps. Throughout the Yard, tree-shaded monuments commemorate the bravery and heroism that are an inherent part of the academy’s heritage. Buildings and walkways are named for Naval Academy graduates who have contributed to naval history and their nation.
Summer Seminar
The United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers the opportunity for rising high school seniors to visit the Naval Academy for one week during the summer. Students will experience all aspects of the Naval Academy including the academic program and midshipman life. Furthermore, students will receive an overview of Navy and Marine Corps service options. If you think that you are interested in pursuing an appointment to one of the nation’s service academies and serving your country as an officer, you should seriously consider attending the Naval Academy’s Summer Seminar.
Midshipmen run Summer Seminar with oversight by active duty Navy and Marine Corps officers. Over 1,800 students from around the world attend this fast paced program each year. Join the “Long Gray Line”
USMA is renowned as an historic and distinguished military academy, and a leading, progressive institution of higher education. Made legendary in books and movies, the Academy’s “Long Gray Line” includes some of our nation’s most famous leaders: Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, George S. Patton, Omar Bradley, Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower, and Norman Schwarzkopf.
Because of this superb education and leadership experience, West Point graduates historically have been sought for high-level civilian and military leadership positions, including two U.S. Presidents, several ambassadors, state governors, legislators, judges, cabinet members, educators, astronauts, engineers, and corporate executives.
Summer Leaders Seminar
The United States Military Academy conducts the Summer Leaders Seminar (SLS), formerly known as the Invitational Academic Workshop for academically gifted high school juniors going into their senior year. The SLS is a weeklong program of academic workshops, military training, physical fitness training and intramural athletics.
800 highly talented high school juniors going into their senior year are invited to attend the IAW each year. The SLS is normally conducted in the second or third week of June. High school students who participate in the SLS are led and supervised by West Point cadets.

Admit outstanding young men and women who possess the potential to successfully complete the Academy four year experience and graduate as commissioned officers in service of the Air Force and our Nation. We attract, identify, evaluate, and counsel cadet candidates through the selections process.
Our team consists of Information Technology, Marketing & Media, Recruiting, Counseling, Plans &Programs, and Administration. In addition, our 1900 Admissions Liaison Officers (ALOs) serve as hometown recruiters throughout the country and overseas.
United States Air Force Academy Summer Seminar
Since opening its doors in 1954, the goal of this four-year institution is to produce officers who have the knowledge, character and motivation essential to leadership, pride in all they do and, above all else, commitment to their careers in the Air Force.
If you have considered the United States Air Force Academy as your college of choice and you are a junior going into your senior year, the Academy offers two one-week sessions to experience the academic environment, physical requirements, team building, and leadership skills necessary to become an Air Force Academy cadet.

A United States Merchant Marine Academy education is one of the great adventures of a lifetime. For half a century young individuals like you have come to Kings Point to acquire the knowledge, experience, discipline, and skills that strong leadership demands.

United States Coast Guard Academy New London, Connecuticut
The Coast Guard Academy uses a rolling admission process that begins in November and ends in June. Acceptance notifications are made on a continuous basis beginning on 15 December and ending on 1 June. You are required to accept or decline an appointment by 1 May, or if appointed after 15 April, within two weeks of our offer. Unlike the other service academies, we don’t require a congressional nomination.
HIGH School Juniors Experience the Coast Guard Academy this Summer!
AIM (Academy Introduction Mission) is a one-week summer program for rising High School seniors. Intense, exciting, non-stop – it’s a chance to see if the Academy is right for you – and if you have what it takes to succeed. If selected, you will experience the Coast Guard Academy personally – just like a cadet – for one week in July.

Navy ROTC
The NROTC Program was established to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the unrestricted line Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program fills a vital need in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.
Army ROTC
Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the Army. Upon graduation from Army ROTC, you will earn the bar of a Second Lieutenant and become a leader for life.
