Webberville SMAA Senior Scholar-Athlete Awards

Webberville Community Schools is proud to announce our SMAA Senior Scholar-Athlete award winners. The SMAA Senior Scholar Athlete award is given to seniors who have lettered in two different varsity sports and who have maintained at least a 3.25 GPA. Webberville had ten seniors earn this award and they are:
Jeff Raschke
Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.99 - Science Club, Class Club, Student Council, Spanish Club, National Honor Society, 4 year “A” Honor Roll, ranked 2 nd in his class, dual enrollment at Lansing Community College and advanced placement classes.
Athletic Accomplishments: Varsity baseball, Varsity Track, Varsity Football.
Future Plans: Attend Michigan State University and eventually earn a PhD in Psychology & Neuroscience
Parents: Denise and Steve Burroughs
Ellen Rogers
Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.96 - Vice President of National Honor Society, editor of the school newspaper, yearbook staff, Spanish Club, Class Club, FFA, Science Club, Marching Band, Concert Band and Student Council.
Athletic Accomplishments: Varsity Competitive Cheer Team, Sideline Cheer and Sideline Competitive Cheer Team.
Future Plans: Attend Lansing Community College and eventually transfer to a university to study English, media or communications.

Rebecca Wilson
Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.91 – National Honor Society, Peer Assisted Leaders, Class Club, Science Club, Spanish Club and Theatre.
Athletic Accomplishments: Track, track captain, most improved and most valuable in track, Basketball, Cross-Country All League.
Future Plans: Attend Lansing Community College then transfer to Michigan State University to study science or law.

Angelia Wilson
Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.88 – Science Club, Spanish Club, Class Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, Class Representative, Representative to the Board and Theatre.
Athletic Accomplishments: Track, track captain, most improved in track, Cross-Country.
Future Plans: Attend Lansing Community College then transfer to Central Michigan University to study physical therapy and/or sports medicine.

Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.86 – Senior Class President, Class Club, Student Council, Student Council Vice President, 12 th grade Student of the Quarter, Honor Roll, Peer Assisted Leaders, Model United Nations participant, SADD, Choir and National Honor Society.
Athletic Accomplishments: Track and Cheerleading
Future Plans: Attend Adrian College to study interior design.

Academic Accomplishments: GPA: 3.83 – Student Council Treasurer, Class Club Treasurer, Science Club and National Honor Society.
Athletic Accomplishments: Baseball (Honorable Mention), Football (Honorable Mention), Basketball.
Future Plans: Attend Michigan State University to study Fisheries and Wildlife Management.

Athletic Accomplishments: Sideline Cheer and Competitive Cheer
Future Plans: Attend Lansing Community College then transfer to a university to study mechanical engineering.

Athletic Accomplishments: Baseball and Golf earning most improved player.
Future Plans: Attend college and find a job in the tool and die field.

Athletic Accomplishments: Varsity Football, Junior Varsity Football, Freshman Football, Varsity Track and Varsity Wrestling.
Future Plans: Attend flight school to become a pilot and join the mission field.
