M.I.T.E.S. Regional Project Fair

 

On May 7 th and 8 th, Webberville Community Schools had students participate in the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society project fair which was held at the Capitol Area Career Center in Mason, MI. Webberville Industrial Arts and Technology Education had 29 students send 40 project entries to the regional competition. Of the 40 entries, 35 went on to the State Project Fair which was held at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI on May 13 th – 15 th.

 

Webberville student’s received numerous awards and honors which included:

 

1 st – Laura Rogers – Invention, Katie Pingle –Research paper, Matt Gardziella – Research paper, Jason Lane – Teaching aide, Ken Wakeman – Co2 car, Mike Oberly – Co2 car, Hannah Bloom and Krysten Luther – Handicapped Device, Fletcher Reed – Pair of Lamps, Jordan Brooks – Lamp.

 

2 nd – Mike Monroe – Invention, Carrie Benjamin – research paper, Ryan Utter – research paper, Jessica Hunt – teaching aide, Jordan Brooks – Co2 car, Mike Monroe and Tyler Feeney – handicapped device, Jordan Williams – pair of candlesticks, Fletcher Reed – lamp.

 

3 rd – Morgan Chosczcyk – invention, Jessica Jesson – research paper, Mike Monre – research paper, Robert Mosher – teaching aide, Chris Giddings – Co2 car, Stephanie Pollok and Jessica Wegienka – handicapped device, Jessica Hunt – Lamp, Fletcher Reed – lamp, Jeff Raschke – turned table.

 

4 th – Megan Wilson – invention, Morgan Chosczcyk – research paper, Chris Giddings – teaching aide, Mark Fitchett – Co2 car, Jeremy Ferris – Co2 car.

 

5 th – Ken Malley – Co2 car.

 

6 th – Ross Pollok – Co2 car.

 

Honorable Mentions – Ross Pollok – teaching aide and lamp, Jason Lane – lamp, Jordan Williams – lamp, Brandon Spitzley – Candlestick.

 

In addition, the Office of Career and Technical Education presents 23 Non-Traditional Student Awards state-wide each year. Kelsey McComb was a recipient of this award.
