Position Description: Provide leadership and directions in the development, implementation and coordination of the district’s instructional technology, instructional software and staff development. Also, to provide leadership for selection, implementation, maintenance and replacement of the district’s information networks, software and instructional technologies.

 

Qualifications:

* MA or MS required with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Instructional Design, and/or Instructional Technology.

* BS in computer science, math, technology education or business education desired.

* Certification in one of the following areas or equivalent: CNA, CNE, Microsoft Cerfication, A+, C++, etc. required.

* Ability to manage Microsoft network.

 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

* Experienced in desktop support and supporting multiple network protocols.

* Two years successful experience as Technology Director or Coordinator preferred.

* Two years successful classroom teaching experience preferred.

* Proven experience in instructional technology and software training.

* Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, administration and community members.

* Knowledge of current theory, research methods, and best practices in K-12 education.

* Knowledge of research based instructional technology and software.

* Planning and organizational skills.

* Knowledgeable and/or skilled in the use of multimedia and graphic arts software programs, Microsoft Office Professional suite, Integrated Learning Systems, assessment programs and other educational software programs.

 

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Salary and Benefits: Per negotiated 52 week contract

Position: High School English & Theatre Arts Teacher

Position Description: A teacher of English and Theatre Arts for grades 9 - 12. The teacher will be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate classroom instruction and activities for high school English and Theatre Arts.

 

Qualifications:

* BA in English required

* Teachable minor preferred

* Knowledge of theory, research methods, and best practices in English and Theatre.

* Successful student teaching experience in English a minium.

* Knowledge of English instructional theory.

* Strong background in writing required.

* Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, and administration.

* Knowledge of age appropriate English curriculum, application of appropriate assessment, and knowledge of effective use of age appropriate, research based instructional strategies.

* Planning and organizational skills.

* Computer literacy skills.

* Minor in English, Social Studies, or World History desired

 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

* Knowledge of theory, research methods, and best practices in Social Studies.

* Successful student teaching experience in U.S. History, World History, Economics and/or Government a minimum.

* Knowledge of Social Studies instructional theory.

* Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, and administration.

* Knowledge of age appropriate Social Studies curriculum, application of appropriate assessment, and knowledge of effective use of age appropriate research based instructional strategies.
