Special Board Meeting
August 25, 2004
This Special Board meeting of the Webberville Board of Education was called to order by President Simmons Webberville Board of Education Office on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 7:05 p.m.
Present: Clifford Simmons II, Patricia Shanabrook, Teri Chamberlain, Kristine Brenner, Tina Beauvais, Kathleen Westbrook, and Dr. Skilling, Superintendent.
Absent: Dorris Crandall
Ms. Brenner moved, Ms. Shanabrook seconded a motion to approve the Agenda of the Special Board of Education Meeting being held on Wednesday, August 25, 2004. Motion passed 6-0.

Discussion Items:
Ms. Westbrook presented the second reading of the new Board Policy Book. There were no concerns on behalf of the board members.
Ms. Westbrook updated the members on the Student Representative. She has had discussion with Ms. Lloyd and Ms. Pierman regarding this position.
Action Items:
Ms. Shanabrook moved and Ms. Chamberlain seconded a motion to approve the hiring of Charles Harper as the Special Education Supervisor and At Risk Coordinator. Motion passed 6-0.
Ms. Shanabrook moved and Ms. Brenner seconded a motion to approve the hiring of Kara Sevensma as a Special Education Teacher. Motion passed 6-0.
Ms. Brenner moved and Ms. Beauvais seconded a motion to approve the Board Policy Manual as presented. Motion passed 6-0.
Ms. Brenner moved and Ms. Shanabrook seconded a motion to approve the elimination of the A.M. bus service to the Capitol Area Career Center for the 2004-2005 school year. Ms. Westbrook asked for a roll call vote.
